Our Location

The Island

Vancouver Island is located approximately 30km (20 miles) off the West coast of British Columbia and Washington State. The island is 39-48km from Vancouver by B.C. ferry, depending on which route you take. Sailing time for both routes is one hour and 35 minutes.

Between Vancouver Island and the mainland are many smaller islands, some Canadian (the Gulf Islands), some American (the San Juan islands). If time permits, including one or several of these islands in your travel itinerary will enhance your west coast trip.

The Saanich Peninsula

Located at the Southern tip of Vancouver Island is the Saanich Peninsula, home to B.C.'s provincial capital city Victoria, affectionately known as the City of Gardens. The world-famous attraction that sets the standard for all gardens, The Butchart Gardens, is conveniently close to our B&B.

At the northern tip of the Saanich Peninsula is Swartz Bay, the B.C. ferry terminal for access to Vancouver and the Gulf Islands. Approximately 5km South of Swartz Bay is Victoria International Airport which is a "puddle hop" of 35-40 minutes to either Vancouver or Seattle.

We are ideally located in the middle of the Saanich Peninsula, 10km from downtown Victoria, 10km from the airport and 15km from the ferry terminal. Butchart Gardens is a 10km trip West of us. East of us is the view!

Our location is perfect to be able to enjoy all that Greater Victoria and Saanich peninsula have to offer. Do some "hard exploring" during the day and return to our gracious, private and quiet home to re-charge before the next adventure!
